State Senator Amanda McGill has served in the Nebraska Legislature for six years. Senator McGill is the Chair of the Urban Affairs Committee and serves on the General Affairs and Judiciary Committees. During the 2012 legislative session, she was an advocate for legislation on human trafficking, child welfare reform, prenatal care, and military families. Amanda received the Early Achiever Award from the University of Nebraska Alumni Association in 2011. She is currently the Director of Program Advocacy and Giving at the YWCA Lincoln and works part-time at Target.
